2025: Savour Every Moment

It's cherry season in the northern hemisphere. And that reminds me of the joy in transient pleasures. In the small luxuries that remind you to savour a moment - for just a moment. 

These days, it seems as though many things have become fleeting. Things are changing that we thought never would. 

And of course, in other places, such an experience of change is not new. Our partners in Kashmir know it well, and are thankfully unaffected by recent events. It reminds us that life is composed of change, and while we yearn for what is lasting, even stability is made of moments. So let's savour each one. 

A cup of strong black coffee. Marshmallows and vanilla, and rich chocolate. And of course, dark red cherries. These are our colours of this season. 

Contentment is stable, comforting in its lasting pleasure. While happiness, they say, is fleeting.

But to have both, in its rightful proportion, does it not make for a fuller life? And we think that cashmere is one of those things that are both, because it's clothing that you keep forever, and yet every time you wear it and touch it, it gives such lovely moments of pleasure. 

What an amazing luxury that is!
